How do I become certified in healthcare quality management?

We strongly recommend that all persons considering being certified as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) peruse the current CPHQ Candidate Examination Handbook.

To become a CPHQ, you merely have to pass the CPHQ exam. Details on how to apply for the exam can be found in the CPHQ Candidate Examination Handbook.

No minimum education or experience is required to take the CPHQ examination.

The pass rate for the CPHQ exam is 71–76% for US candidates (2015–2019 data) and 45–60% (2014–2018 data) for international candidates.

Some candidates find it more challenging to pass the exam than others, e.g. international candidates, candidates who have limited experience in healthcare and/or healthcare quality management, candidates who have a history of underperforming on standardized tests. Here’s where we come in. We provide exam preparation solutions for CPHQ candidates, including workshops, practice quizzes, and a membership site. In 2009, Dr Andy Teh launched his one-to-one CPHQ coaching program, which features a unique approach to CPHQ training and CPHQ exam preparation. Subject to strict entry criteria, this program is backed by a 100% money-back guarantee of a passing score on the first attempt. No graduate of this coaching program—the first of its kind in the world – has ever scored less than 103/125 on the CPHQ exam. The passing score for the CPHQ exam is 91–94/125.
